The perfect candidate will be someone who excel at the following:
  • Ensure daily store operational requirements are met.
  • Stock and staff management.
  • Ensure that the back-of-house and kitchen area operates effectively and efficiently and maintain the highest level of cleanliness and Health & Safety compliance.

Food and Beverage

  • Level 2 barista and beverage training in all areas.
  • Full menu knowledge.
  • Intermediate skills to manage a kitchen, including an ability to read a recipe, pre-service preparation and cooking.
  • Able to manage the ordering process, including daily bread, fruit & veg, as well as all bar and kitchen orders.
  • Knowledge of stock quality.
  • A good working relationship with suppliers.
  • Intermediate GAAP knowledge, including capturing invoices, pulling management overview reports, daily stock-takes and daily cash-up procedures.

Staff

  • Ability to roster staff and ensure punctuality.
  • Improvise when short staffed.
  • Ability to motivate waiters/ waitresses.
  • Assist with the disciplinary process when necessary. Service
  • Recognize the importance of customer satisfaction.
  • Promote the ethos of ATD: Attention To Detail.
  • Ability to pre-empt service problems by managing pro-actively.
  • Lead by example.
  • Ability to handle guest complaints.
  • Ability to build customer loyalty.
  • Ability to perform the duties of any member of staff on the floor in the event of short-staffing or unforeseen circumstances.

Added responsibilities

  • Glass, crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and smalls ordering and stock take
  • Weekly hour log for all employees
  • Troubleshooting of Food Cost % issues.
  • Reporting any incidents big or small daily in writing
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • At least 2 years of management experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Enthusiastic Team Player
  • Committed to customer satisfaction.
  • Possess a strong work ethic.
  • Good organizational skills
