Every cup of Bootlegger coffee starts long before it reaches our cafés. It starts with the people growing it, the land it's grown on, and the choices made throughout the supply chain.
That's why every coffee bean we source is 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified.
For us, it's more than a certification. It's a commitment to sourcing coffee from farms that meet rigorous environmental, social and economic standards, helping support better farming practices while protecting forests, biodiversity and the livelihoods of farming communities.
The Rainforest Alliance recently released its 2025 Annual Report, sharing the collective impact of its global network over the past year. The results show meaningful progress across the areas that matter most.
Some of the highlights include:
- Nearly 10.8 million farmers and workers reached through Rainforest Alliance programmes.
- More than US$2 billion generated in additional income through premiums and improved yields.
- 11.9 million hectares of ecosystems protected or restored.
- 5.5 million metric tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions avoided or sequestered.
- The introduction of the Regenerative Agriculture Standard, already being used on coffee farms across Latin America, with the first certified products expected to reach shelves in 2026.
These are the kinds of initiatives we want to stand behind. Because great coffee shouldn't come at the expense of people or the planet.
Choosing Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee doesn't solve every challenge facing the coffee industry, but it's an important step towards supporting more responsible farming and a more resilient future for coffee.
It's one of the many reasons we're intentional about where our coffee comes from, so you can enjoy every cup knowing there's more behind it than great flavour.
