Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Training and Skills Development Manager who will manage the training team and all legislative processes required related to Skills Development and Training. This is a permanent position; salary is negotiable depending on experience and skill set. The successful candidate will be part of the Human Resources team that works on a variety of projects.
Main Duties
- Trainer must be able to identify training and development requirements through conducting training needs analysis, skills gap analysis, and then consult with the relevant business unit to design and develop required learning programs.
- The Training Manager will be required to train existing and new managers.
- We are looking for an individual with an in-depth knowledge of the skills development framework and associated legislation, ability to lead, communicate & effectively train trainees on all levels, coaching and mentoring skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Training, Induction and audits
- Design, develop and review training plans and policies.
- Manage training team and deliverables.
- Act as the company Skills Development Facilitator to ensure compliance and optimization in terms of relevant Seta Funding
- Manage and allocate Training initiatives in accordance with Employee and Customer needs.
- Plan, implement and manage pivotal training to align with BBBEE targets, business needs and align with strategic objectives.
- Ensure training strategy is successfully operationalized through developed work plans and aligned to the future growth of the company.
- Ensure industry trends and requirements are monitored and implemented as required by the industry.

Candidate Requirements
- Skills Development Facilitator Qualification or at least 5 years’ experience as company Skills Development Facilitator as well as implementing Skills Development projects for discretionary grants from the SETA and BEE targets
- Proven experience as a Learning and Development Manager or similar
- Experience dealing with Sector Education and Training Authorities
- Experience in designing, developing and delivering training material, developing a training strategy and understanding of different training methods and channels.
- Familiar with e-learning platforms and practices, linking training to performance and quality as well as Training Needs Analysis
